Social Ministries

Women’s Club – St. Joseph the Worker’s Women’s Club consists of an outstanding group of ladies who work together on a variety of parochial endeavors to promote parish life and solidarity.  The Club has successfully completed many improvement projects in our parish.  Some of the other enterprises which the Women’s Club sponsors are:  Coffee & Donuts on the first Friday of each month, the Parish Picnic, St. Patrick’s Day Luncheon and a Communion Breakfast.  Any adult female parish member can join the Women’s Club at anytime.

Youth Ministry – St. Joseph the Worker’s Junior Youth Ministry is a ministry that provides a multi-faceted program of personal, spiritual, and social development for the young people of our parish. The Junior Youth Group is for those in fifth through eighth grade. It facilitates Christian living among our youth through activities, service and prayer. We are currently looking for someone to lead this ministry.

Happy Hearts – meets once a month from September to May. They provide socialization, information and entertainment for parishishioners 55 and older.

Knights of Columbus – Thanks to the efforts of Father Michael J. McGivney, assistant pastor of St. Mary’s Church in New Haven and some of his parishioners, the Connecticut State Legislature on March 29, 1882, officially chartered the Knights of Columbus as a fraternal benefit society. The Knights of Columbus has grown internationally, from several members in one council to more than 13,000 councils and 1.7 million members. Santa Maria Council #1443, in Haddon Twp., is one of the many active councils in the State of New Jersey. The Knights of Santa Maria perform many church, community, and family programs.
